Dr. O'Quinn is a licensed physical therapist with a passion for improving the health and well-being of individuals, especially in dynamic environments like the entertainment industry. With a diverse background that spans physical therapy, emergency medical services, and wellness coaching, she brings a holistic approach to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.
She began her academic journey at the University of Kentucky, where she earned my undergraduate degree, and later pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at South College. She holds certifications as an EMT, Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Corrective Exercise Specialist, and she specializes in backstage injury prevention and management.
Throughout her career, she's had the privilege of working with a variety of populations, including the cast and crew of several high profile film, television, and theatre productions. She specializes in treating occupational injuries and performance-related conditions, drawing on her knowledge of pain science, sports medicine, and ergonomics.
She believes that effective rehabilitation goes beyond just treating injuries—it’s about educating and empowering her patients to take an active role in their recovery. Whether it's providing on-site care for cast and crew members, or offering injury prevention strategies for professionals in high-demand industries, her mission is to help others thrive.

Cupping
A therapeutic technique that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. Used to alleviate pain, promote blood flow, reduce inflammation, and relax muscles, making it popular among athletes, performers, and those recovering from injuries.

Spinal Manipulations
A manual therapy technique used to treat musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the spine. It involves applying a controlled, sudden force to a joint in the spine, typically using the hands, to improve spinal motion and function. The goal is to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve mobility.

Strength & Conditioning
A specialized fitness program designed to improve an individual’s physical performance by enhancing strength, power, endurance, flexibility, and overall athletic ability. It typically involves a combination of resistance training, aerobic conditioning, and mobility exercises, tailored to the specific needs of an athlete or individual.

Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique (ART) is a manual therapy used to treat soft tissue injuries, muscle tightness, and movement dysfunctions. It focuses on releasing muscle tension, scar tissue, and adhesions by applying targeted pressure to specific areas while the patient actively moves the affected muscle or joint through its range of motion.

Movement Assessments
Used to catch early signs of movement dysfunctions that might lead to future injuries. Evaluations used to analyze an individual’s movement patterns, identify dysfunctions, and assess physical performance. These assessments involve observing how a person moves during various activities to identify any limitations, imbalances, or compensations in their movement.

Biometric Screening
A health assessment that measures key physical indicators related to an individual’s overall health. It typically includes tests to evaluate factors such as body composition, cardiovascular health, and metabolic function. The purpose of biometric screening is to identify potential health risks early and help individuals take proactive steps toward better health.

Sports Massage
A type of therapeutic massage specifically designed to help prevent injuries, prepare for activity, and recover from strenuous physical activity. It combines various techniques, including deep tissue massage, stretching, and joint mobilization, to target areas of the body that are commonly used during exercise or sports.

Emergency Response
Immediate, initial care such as CPR, wound management, and treatment of minor illnesses provided to a person who is injured or suddenly ill. Proper first aid response can make a critical difference in preventing further injury and improving the outcome for the person in need.

Return To Work & Ergomonics Training
A structured program designed to help individuals recover from an injury or illness and safely transition back into their work duties. The goal is to rebuild strength, endurance, and mobility while gradually increasing the intensity of physical tasks required in the workplace. Education on proper body mechanics and workplace setup to minimize the risk of re-injury once the person returns to work.
